Day1 Eastern tour to the Mountain Huashan (120 km)
Your guide will meet you at 8:30 in your hotel lobby and take you to HuaShan Mountain which takes 1.5 hour. When arrival, you take cable car to North Peak of Mt Hua, climb Thousand-foot Stone Pillar, Lianhua Peak, Yuquan Court and Changlin Pavilion. After the whole day tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel around 6:30. (No lunch)
Mt Huashan with an elevation of 2,200 meters known as the Western Mountain (Xi Yue) due to its geographical feature it is the most precipitous one of the five well-known mountains.
Mt Huashan is the tallest among the five great mountains with breath-taking cliffs, strangely shaped granite peaks and the twisted pines. Along the 12-kilometer-long winding path up to the top are awe-inspiring precipices. Among the five peaks, East Peak (Facing Sun Peak), West Peak (Lotus Peak) and South Peak (Dropping Goose Peak) are comparatively high. Standing at the top of East Peak, one can enjoy the rising sun early in the morning. West Peak, in resemblance to a lotus flower, is the most graceful peak in Mt. Huashan. In addition, there are Middle Peak (Jade Maiden Peak) and North Peak (Clouds Stand). North Peak, like a flat platform in the clouds, but its path to the 2158 summit is nearly vertical, which is equipped with iron chains to protect climbers.
Huashan has many places of historic interest and scenic beauty, because in ancient times many emperors came here to make offering to their ancestors they left a lot of stone inscriptions of poems which are also the attraction for the tourist. |
