Huashan, China's Main Center of World Tourism Day 2009

The National Tourism Administration of PRC recently decided to hold the Theme Meeting of World Tourism Day 2009 in Huashan Scenic Zone.

According to The Shaanxi Provincial Tourism Bureau, 27 September, the World Tourism Day, is a festival for tourism workers and tourists made by the World Tourism Organization (WTO). China joined the WTO formally and became a member of the WTO in 1983. Since 1985, a province, an autonomous region or a municipality directly under the central government is set as the main center to hold the celebration of the World Tourism Day. This year, the large celebrations are sponsored by the National Tourism Administration of PRC and the People's Government of Shaanxi Province and organized by the Weinan Municipal Government and Huashan Tourist Zone. At that time, the host will invite the world-famous tourism experts to talk about the hot issues on the world tourism, and will also have a research and discussion about the influence on the tourism industry by the present international economic society Orientation.
